If you've been to an event, you know what Bwalo is. This page is about what it means to be part of it long-term - and where we're taking it.
Everything is free right now. No card, no commitment. We're in the early days and we'd rather earn your trust before we ask anything of it.
Where we're going
As the community grows, we want to do more. Member-only events at venues we wouldn't be able to afford otherwise. Covered activity fees — wine tastings, lunches, experiences — so you just show up. Partner deals at restaurants and bars you're already going to anyway.
That takes real money to sustain. So when the time is right, we'll introduce a paid membership - K250 a month. Not to make it exclusive, but to make everything better for the people who are in it.
Open socials will always be free. That's a promise.
The founding period.
Everyone who joins Bwalo before paid membership launches gets the founding rate when they upgrade - K250/month, locked in. Whatever we charge new members in future, yours won't change.
No pressure to pay anything today. Join, come to an event, see if you like it. The founding rate will be there when you're ready.
